Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Katie Grant, MS, LCPC
Group therapy can help clients achieve some goals better than individual counseling, such as feeling less alone, building the ability to trust, and finding hope. Often heard after a client has attended a few meetings: "I was nervous about group, but I actually like this better than individual therapy!" Katie runs groups based on interest, so if you do not see a group you are interested in, please let her know and when she has enough clients interested she will start the group. Groups are typically 5-8 people and run weekly or every other week for 90-120 minutes.
Feedback from previous group members:
"I am survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Prior to attending this group, I would never have been able to put those words on paper. Katie and this group changed my life from living my life feeling ashamed."
"Katie and Group saved me from self-destruction. Don't be afraid or ashamed. You are not alone."
"I participated in Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse. I'm so relieved I did. I pushed through group and now I know I'm not alone. Thank you, Katie."
